The WashU Brown School of Social Work offers nationally recognized Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Social Policy (MSP) programs that prepare students to lead change within communities, organizations, and systems. As one of the nation’s oldest schools of social work, the Brown School brings more than a century of leadership, excellence, and innovation to the field. Housed within the Brown School, the Kathryn M. Buder Center for American Indian Studies was founded to provide scholarships for Native Americans and has grown into one of the most respected centers in the nation for academic advancement and study of Native American issues related to social work.

We Are Healers - 247

We Are Healers is a 501(c)3 Native-led organization. Originally founded in 2016 by Dr. Erik Brodt, a member of the Ojibwe tribe, a family medicine physician, educator, and advocate for increasing Native representation in healthcare. Increasing Native representation in healthcare is the heart of what we do at We Are Healers. The organization was created to inspire and support Native youth pursuing careers in healthcare by providing mentorship, culturally relevant resources, and pathways to success. Recognizing the deep disparities in Indigenous representation in medicine, the organization was established by Native healthcare professionals dedicated to breaking down systemic barriers and fostering a new generation of Indigenous healers.
